As many of you know, Eli's LionHeart Foundation was founded with the mission of helping families dealing with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to reach our goal of raising $10,000 to support a local family facing the challenges of CHD. This years family wishes to remain anonymous so for the purposes of this announcement I will refer to the child as Mary.

 

It is with both a heavy heart and deep gratitude that I introduce you to Mary, born in July 2023 with a congenital heart condition. In the fall of 2024, Mary tragically slipped into a coma after suffering cardiac arrest. The priest who baptized her, and who is a member of Commonwealth Jiu Jitsu, where he learned about our foundation and shared her story with us. Having personally experienced the pain of families affected by CHD, I knew in my heart that Mary's family would be the first to receive our foundation's charitable support.

Sadly, Mary passed away shortly after we connected with her family. The funds you so generously donated were used to help cover her funeral expenses and some of her medical costs during her time in the hospital.

On behalf of Mary's family and all of us at Eli's LionHeart Foundation, I want to express our deepest thanks to each and every one of you. Your kindness and support have made a meaningful difference during an incredibly difficult time.
